You can’t miss these things when in London

This is a contributed post.

If you are thinking of taking a trip to London, then you are going to be in for a busy adventure. There is so much to do here including Big Ben, the London Eye and so on, but in this post we are going to be looking at something a little different. Instead, we are going to be looking at some of the less well-known places that you should visit when you are visiting England’s capital. If you are interested in finding out more, keep reading!

Secret Bars

If you are looking for something exciting to do, then you should certainly go on the hunt for one of London’s hidden bars. These are scattered all over, and are perfect for relaxing and enjoying cocktails on your journey. Of course, you are likely not going to be able to find these without a little bit of guidance, so we are going to help you out here. One of the venues you should look for is called The Luggage Room and is located in Mayfair. Remember these places are hidden so you have to look really closely if you are going to have any chance of finding them!

Or, you could try and track down The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill. Maybe if you are feeling particularly explorer like, you could even attempt to locate The Mayor Of Scaredy Cat Town in Spitalfields. These are just a few options for you to consider, and a lot of them are located near a luxury hotel or two, so you are never going to be too far away from your accommodation!

Moo Canoes

If you are interested in the River Thames, then you have to try out the Moo Canoes! Ride along in a bovine boat as part of a water sightseeing tour with two or three of your friends. You will notice that they are called moo canoes because of the way the boats have been decorated as though they are cows with a white base and some black spots. There are a variety of routes that you can take depending on what you want to see such as the one around Lighthouse Basin.

If you are lucky, you will head down a route that has some meal stops for those of you who are hungry along your journey! It truly is a wonderful experience that you do not want to miss.

House Of Dreams

If you are going to be anywhere around East Dulwich, then you have to go and check out the House of Dreams Museum. You will find yourself walking down a street that looks perfectly normal until you get to the end and find that all is not what it appears. However, this exhibit is only open a few days per year to the public so you will need to find out beforehand if you will be visiting at a time where you can view this.

You will find an array of items here that you would not think important such as pens lids, and they all come together to form this beautiful place. It is like the saying goes, one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure, quite literally in this case.

We hope that you have found this article and our other travel guides useful, and will use the advice set out above to ensure you don’t miss some of the awesome parts of London.
