Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life. All eyes will be on you so you need to be looking your best. With this in mind, you need to ensure that your skin looks amazing on your big day. Here are some tips to keep your skin looking great.

Don’t change your skincare routine

If you have an established skincare routine that is working, do not change it! Many brides find that in the quest to add a little extra to their glow, they mess up their skin by switching products and using things that don’t work for them. If you have a routine that works, stick with it for the moment.

Choose your makeup

When getting pointers for your wedding day makeup, make sure that you use someone who knows what they are talking about. It might be tempting to go with a cousin who is offering you a discount on your wedding makeup, but are they the best choice? Frankly, if you have to pay to get your wedding makeup done, have a certified professional do it for you. And if your cousin keeps insisting, you might have to let her down gently.

Eat clean

If you are worried about gaining weight before your wedding, or you want to ditch a few pounds, there is a good chance that you have started eating clean at some point. One piece of advice that you should consider is, make sure you start your clean eating programme months before the big day. When you start eating clean, your skin can break out as your body gets rid of toxins. The last thing you need is a spot because you decided to eat clean a week before your wedding.

Drink more water

Drinking water is one of the best things you can do to get that glow. Being hydrated can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles, the skin appears plumped, and being well watered is great for your overall health. No matter when you are getting married, aim for 1.5 litres of mineral water every day to ensure that your skin looks amazing.

Facemasks

Ok, we know that we said don’t mess with the face routine but there is nothing wrong with adding some extra facemask treatments every week to make sure that your skin looks incredible. If you have a certain face mask that you know works for your skin, use it twice a week or more to make sure that your skin is the best it can be.

Relax

This is harder than most but you have to relax. Being stressed can cause fine lines and wrinkles to appear, and you can look older. We don’t want that for your wedding day. So take some deep breaths and relax. This is an important day but you are supposed to enjoy it. You don’t want to look back and see someone who hated their day because they were so stressed. Let it go and have some fun.
