2. Raw food orders and workshop bookings

2.1 When to book

Orders and booking can either be made via our online forms, by email, by phone or via Facebook.

Orders will be confirmed within 48 hours by email. Please note that we are only able to process bookings during our weekday working hours of 10.00 – 17.00. Your booking should not be considered as confirmed until you receive confirmation from us via e-mail.

We suggest that Clients order meals, beverages and workshops at least 3 days in advance and at least 2 weeks prior to a larger event or party (of 4-20 people). Please note that we may not always be available on the dates you request, but we will always offer alternative times to suit both parties.

Bookings made less than 48 hours in advance excluding weekends, may be accepted at the discretion of the Alchemy Foods team. We respectfully reserve the right to refuse any requests that do not reach the team within the notice period. It will be at the discretion of the Alchemy Foods team to determine how many staff are required to service an event. An assembly fee is charged for all events of 4+ people and will be a minimum of 1 hour for up to 6 people and a minimum of 2 hours for 7-20 people. An assembly fee may be applied to a standard delivery if requested, this means that we will not just bring you your order in a box and leave it, we will put it all together at your location and present it nicely on a plate.

Assembly fees are as follows:

  • Monday to Sunday from 10:00-20.00 = 30.00€ per full or part hour
  • Monday to Sunday out of hours = 35.00€ per full or part hour

2.2 Cancellations and amendments

Cancellations may be made by a Client up until 48 hours of the event excluding weekends. After that time the Client must notify a member of the Alchemy Foods team by phone or email, so we can process the cancellation.

In the event of a full or partial cancellation of a confirmed booking by the Client the following cancellation charges will apply:

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours – 50% of expected income
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours – 100% of the expected income

We always do our best to ensure everything goes smoothly, but in the case of unforeseen circumstances, Alchemy Foods reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event, a workshop or catering delivery and your deposit will be returned to you in full.

If an event requires a special purchase order for items that we do not normally stock, or it is above our normal stock holding, the full cost of this item will be charged in the case of a cancellation.

Amendments to a booking can be made by the Client up until 48 hours of the event excluding weekends. After that time, the Client must notify a member of the Alchemy Foods team, who will make the necessary changes. This will be subject to an amendment fee.

  • Amendments for food made within 48 hours – 10% of the total bill will be charged
  • Amendments for food made within 24 hours – 20% of the total bill will be charged

Prices are correct at the time of going to print. However, some adjustment may be made in the event of seasonal variation or shortage. You will be advised at the time of booking. When a menu has been ordered some time in advance, we hold the right to change the content or exchange items that maybe no longer available. The cost of bespoke menus may also change without notice.

2.3 Special purchases

If a Client requires us to order a special purchase that has a minimum case size, the full case must be purchased regardless of whether the event requires less than the case size. For example, if 4 raw snicker bars are required and the minimum order is 8 bars, all 8 will be charged.

2.4 Deposit

A 50% deposit is required upfront for any catering order or workshop booking, with the remaining 50% to be paid on the day, prior to the start of the event or workshop. Please note that unless there has been a cancellation, like stated above, the Client is obliged to pay the full amount agreed upon during booking.

3. Menu Selection

All our menus have been designed to give you a balanced selection. This is based on seasonal availability, colour, cooking processes, varying tastes and variety of textures. Alchemy Foods only use the freshest ingredients from nominated suppliers and we use organic ingredients as much as possible. Our menu allows for substitutions, but if you choose to change some ingredients, we cannot guarantee the same flavours.

4. Allergies and food intolerances

Most dietary requirements can be catered for, please state your requirements and allergies, including the guest’s name, when placing your order for meals, events and workshops. Please note that it is your responsibility to advice us of any intolerances or allergies you may have. Please note that raw vegan food is not a diet that suits everyone, so please consult your doctor before eating an all-raw meal. By taking part in one of our raw food workshops or by ordering food from our menu, you agree to the following:

  • You are in an overall healthy physical state.
  • You have consulted with your doctor about eating raw vegan food and they agreed that it is ok for you to consume it.
  • For up to 5 days before a workshop or a catered meal, you have been consistently eating solid food and have not been on a fast or juice cleanse. If you decide to fast and eat raw food soon after, please do so at your own risk.
  • Raw food can give you mild detox symptoms, such as headaches, bloating and diarrhoea, you have researched the possible symptoms involved and agree to proceed at your own risk.
  • You have provided Alchemy Foods with a list of known allergens or intolerances, if any.

Please note that all human bodies are different and can react to food in different ways. We strive to provide you with the freshest ingredients, but once the food has been given to you, it is your responsibility to decide how you consume it. Alchemy Foods is not liable for any health issues that may arise from eating raw food or for allergic reactions to foods that have not been previously made known to the team beforehand.

Some of our meals are nut-free, however we cannot guarantee that our food does not contain traces of nuts.

Whilst every effort will be made to produce the exact menu agreed, Alchemy Foods reserve the right to alter a particular ingredient or item on the menu if it is not available, and replace it with a suitable alternative.

All of our food is free from meat, dairy and alcohol. We cannot provide you with any of these foods, even upon request.

Most of our food is raw and vegan, however some dishes may contain honey and soy products, please let us know if you do not consume honey or soy.

5. Deliveries and event room set-up

Alchemy Foods can provide delivery of meals to a destination of your choosing within the Fuengirola to San Pedro area and is subject to an extra charge, depending on the location. Please refer to our FAQ section for the exact prices.

All food items will be supplied with the necessary disposable plates and napkins as standard. For larger events, please state if you would like us to provide disposable plates, cups and utensils for your guests as they will need to be included into the final price.

Alchemy Foods will endeavour to make every effort to deliver the goods at the time agreed with the Client. However, due to circumstances beyond our control this may not always be possible; Alchemy Foods will keep the Client fully informed of any delays should they occur. Equally if there is a room or time change, the Client must notify the Alchemy Foods team in writing the day before or as soon as practicably possible.

It is the responsibility of the Client making the booking, to check that the room being used is one in which catering is permitted. Where possible, it is advisable to book a separate room for lunch deliveries to minimise disruption to your meeting. The Client must ensure that a suitable location with access via a lift (where higher or lower than ground level) is selected for the catering ordered.

It is the Client’s responsibility to organise the setting up of tables prior to catering being delivered and to ensure that adequate tables are provided for the size of booking. If further assistance is required for the supply or movement of tables please contact the building caretaker. Our staff will layout the catering on the tables provided.

Should there be no access to the allocated room for delivery, the food and or beverages will be returned to the kitchen to be redelivered at a more convenient time. It is the responsibility of the person placing the order to inform us if the meeting cannot be disturbed.

Alternatively, you may wish to collect the goods directly from Alchemy Foods in Las Chapas. Please email or call us to arrange the best time for both parties.

6. Storage

When your food has been delivered, or during a workshop, we will endeavour to lay the table away from direct sunlight or heat sources, such as radiators and draughts.

Food deteriorates when left out at room temperature for long periods and this process can be hastened when temperatures are particularly high.

We would advise that all the food be eaten within the first hour of delivery and assembly, should you wish to consume the food later, you may do so at your own risk. We will advise what food is best kept in the fridge and how long it can be kept for, upon delivery.

Our raw chocolate can be kept for longer periods of time and most flavours do not require refrigeration. Please consult our FAQ for more information on how to store chocolate.

7. Raw food workshops

Please state your requirements and allergies, including the guest’s name, at least 1 week prior to a workshop. Please note that it is your responsibility to advice us on any intolerances you may have.

All of our food is free from meat, dairy and alcohol. Most of our food is raw and vegan, however some dishes may contain honey and soy products, please let us know if you do not consume honey or soy.

Please arrive to the workshop on time and allow for at least 3 hours. If you arrive to the workshop without prior booking, we reserve the right to not allow you to participate.

If you choose to participate in any of the food making during a workshop, please do so at your own risk. Alchemy Foods is not responsible for any illnesses or injuries that may occur during workshop time.

A deposit of 50% must be paid in advance to secure your spot for a workshop. The remaining 50% is to be paid upon arrival to the workshop location.

Alchemy Foods is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen personal property during the workshop time.
